NOEL FIELDING!!!

Yes thats right just 2 weeks ago today I met the one and only , the clown prince, the goth detective, the legend that is Noel Fielding!!!

Me and, guess who, my mum went down to suffolk, just 6 hours away... to go to the Latitude Festival 2011. We got their shiny and early saturday morning with our day passes and waited an hour to be let in, here we are before hand, on a log-

Happy
Not so happy
and Me!

As soon as we got let in with the other day passer's we set down the muddy latitude path when i noticed the comedy tent- found it! I ran up the hilly and joined the crowd waiting around the tent to be let in to see Never Mind the Buzzcocks, what I was there for It then started chuckin it down, it was a festival. after we joined the crowd loads of others did so we were about middle of the queue. When the peolple let us in it was a mad rush i almost fell over twice running as fast as I could to get a good spot. We weren't right a the front but we certainly weren't at the back. You wer meant to sit down in the tent but there was some really tall guy who insisted on standing up to record the whole thing on his phone which meant for me to be able to see i had to peer round his shoulder for the whole show. Also because of this twat it meant no one further back than us could sit down like you were supposed to... Never mind I had a pretty good view even if my neck was aching like hell afterwards!

On Phill's team there was Seann Walsh the comedian and a boy from one of the bands that was playing later on who was a substitute for someone who didn't turn up and didn't say much. On Noel's team there was Charlie Baker and Paloma Faith, and David O' Doherty was hosting, in a yellow cape and blue jumper? Noel was hilarious as was Phill. Paloma smashed the substitute when he was telling a story by saying 'you, awkward, never!' - hahahahahahahahaha! At one point Noel's team went under the desk- can't say what went on under there, as i don't know... Also Seann got hold of Noel's big rounded black glasses while he was under the desk and attempted to impersonate him, very badly. And I'm not just being a typical fangirl sticking up for Noel, It was a terrible impression. There was a guest 'choir' who did one of the Intro's in the Intro's round (surprisingly.) Everyone was making fun of them a bit so Noel gave them a hug and got up and sang with them- bloody lucky choir! We waited an hour and a half to meet him and didn't get hugs- oh well, meeting him is by far enough- now for the details on that, it's still unbelievable!

So after the gig we went round the side of the tent where there was two other people waiting- a Noel fan and her mum, we joined them and we could see Noel's caravan about a 100 yards away past the big metal fence, he was in there with Phill, David, Paloma and a couple of people I didn't know. Soon a few more Noel fans were gathering and we got chatting, then a few more came and there was 11 or 12 of us, all massive Noel fans, all girls around my age and a bit older and one boy who'd come from Dubai to meet him! It was still pouring it down with rain but we were adament to meet him. We told the security gaurd to go get him for us but he wouldn't, but someone else went and got him for the 'Noel Fielding Posse' as he called us. The guy went and got him and Noel came to the door in his cape and waved and we went crazy shouting 'NOELLLL WE LOVE YOUUUU!!!!' but that wasn't enough for us so we kept getting passers by to go and try and get him to come out, whilst we sang crimps to amuse ourselves and try and get his attention. One man kept on filming us saying 'here they are the Noel Fielding fans, have you seen him yet?' and we would reply 'noooooooo.' 'how long are you gonna wait?' 'FOREVERRRRRRR!' Then Paloma came out with her brolly to get pictures done, and then just before she got in her car she waved to us all! We suspected Noel must come out soon so we weren't going anywhere.

After and hour and a half stood shouting in the rain he emerged from the caravan under a big brolly, he started to walk down towards us and we were going absolutely mental, then his brolly went inside out- the cutest look ever on his face (your now realising how much of a fangirl I am.) As he walked towards us we were singing 'crimpity crimpity now now, crimpity crimpity ask me how...'
He then talked to us and signed things through the bars, but then the greatest thing happened he said he'd come round, our craziness was apparent! So he came outside round the fence to us-

I had my book ready to be signed and I got closer...
and closer...
and there I am right next to him, him signing my book. On top of that he actually signed my book about four times because some of the other fans didn't have any paper so they used mine and that meant Noel holding my book for about a minute!!

This is the book and the dint Noel made in the spine; Noel's dint :)
and here's his wicked signiture-
and overall this make's a very happy, overexcited, overwhelmed me. All I say is this is only the first, I will meet him again.

I love you Noel Fielding. x

Mark Watson

On 05/06/11 once again me and my mother set off on the train to another gig, this time Mark Watson the hilariously funny comedian. it was a tiny little theatre in Chorley which made it in my opinion even better, he first came on and sat at his laptop while their were still some people arriving he commented on the amount of bald people in the audience and as another bald man walked into the theatre and took his seat next to us he seemed pretty confused as to why everyone was laughing. Everyone was settled in so he went back behind the curtain introduced himself and begun. He was hilarious! For some of the interval he was just sat on stage with his laptop. He did his second half which was just as funny and then announced he would be signing his new book after-a novel called eleven. so I went and got a book signed and met him, he was very nice and I recommend you go see him any oppurtunity you get.

Take That

Well once upon a time on 10/06/11 me and my Robbie-obsessed mum went to see Take That at manchester city stadium, our hotel was packed with Take That fans and had loads of posters up and wot not as it was the closest hotel to the venue-
We got to the stadium and queued for 2 hours before RUNNING into the stadium, my mum being my mum had a cold so we couldn't stand even though we would've had an amazing spot, and as I pointed out later on we would've probably touched robbie. But never mind we sat down in a pretty good place-
Then it was another 4 hour wait and two boxes of chips before the Pet Shop Boys came on who sounded good but i couldn't see them as there was a constant stream of people down our busy aisle. (as you can kind of see on the picture above...) But then finally after a total of 7 hours waiting take that came on. (whooooooooooooooooooooo!!)
First they came on as a quatet and did some of their recent stuff without Robbie which was good, but nothing compared to the 15/20 minutes Robbie then did on his own.
Then they all came on together and the crown was going nuts-
They peformed a medley of old stuff with Gary on the piano, they sung some of Robbie's songs together, then did the stuff from their new album and ended with Never Forget , which was mental! Lastle for their encore they Relight my fire and then sang one of their new songs I didn't know whilst they walked round shaking hands with the fans at the very front. They'd put on an amazing show-all in all an amazing night, ALL HAIL Om (the 17ft purple robot!)
